Master/Slave Contract Template for Long-Term Dynamics
A long-term dynamic needs more paperwork than a single evening, which is either a joy or a warning, depending on your personality. This template covers daily protocol, the scope of authority, and how disagreements get handled when you’re living inside the dynamic. It suits a Master or Mistress and a slave who’ve already been playing together for a good while, and it’s written to be rewritten. Swap in whichever titles the two of you actually use, or fill it in with the contract generator.
The template
A covenant between Master or Mistress's name (Master/Mistress) and slave's name (slave)
Begins start date. We are two adults who chose this and keep choosing it. These words describe a dynamic we’ve built together, and they carry no legal weight. slave's name remains a free person with a life, a voice, and the right to leave.
The scope of authority
Master or Mistress's name holds authority over the following parts of our life together: your rules
Everything not listed here stays with slave's name. That includes money of their own, work, health decisions, friendships, and anything else we haven’t specifically agreed on.
Daily protocol
We’ll keep the protocol simple enough to survive a bad week. It’s suspended, without discussion, when either of us is ill, when we’re in company that hasn’t opted in, or when slave's name says they need it set aside.
What each of us owes
Master or Mistress's name owes care, consistency, and attention. That means knowing how slave's name is really doing, keeping promises, and treating authority as a responsibility. slave's name owes honesty and good-faith effort, and that includes telling Master or Mistress's name when a rule isn’t working or when something’s wrong.
Limits
These don’t move, however deep the dynamic gets: your hard limits
These need a real conversation first, outside of protocol: your soft limits
Words that override everything
your safeword stops whatever is going on, in or out of a scene, day or night. your slow-down word means something needs attention soon. Neither word can be punished, discouraged, or held against the person who said it.
Talking outside the dynamic
Once a week we step out of our roles, sit as equals, and talk about how this is going. During that time, either of us can say anything. We’ll also make time for this after any hard moment: your aftercare.
Review and release
We’ll review this covenant on review date. slave's name can leave at any time, and so can Master or Mistress's name. No reason is required, and neither of us will use guilt, money, or other people to change that decision. If we part, we’ll return each other’s things and leave each other’s secrets alone.
Agreed by Master or Mistress's name and slave's name, on start date.
