Your test answers and your result stay in your browser. We have no accounts and no database of answers. A few other things do leave your device, though, and this page describes each of them exactly, including the less flattering parts.

What stays in your browser

Your answers, your result, your checklist, and your progress are stored in your browser’s local storage so you can come back to them. Your confirmation that you’re over 18 is stored there too. The scoring runs on your own device. None of this gets sent to us or to anyone else. The erase button on your result page clears your answers, the reset button on the kink list clears that list, and clearing this site’s data in your browser removes everything. Anyone using the same browser could see what’s stored there, so keep that in mind on a shared device.

The result link holds your role and axis scores in the part of the address after the # sign. Browsers don’t send that part to the server when opening a page, so our server doesn’t see it. Your individual answers aren’t in the link. Anyone you give the link to can read those scores, of course, and if you share it on a site like Reddit or X, that site gets it along with everything else you post there.

Partner comparison

The comparison link holds your checklist answers, encrypted with AES-GCM using a key derived from a 6-digit code (PBKDF2, 600,000 rounds, with a random salt). This also sits after the # sign, so our server doesn’t receive it.

A 6-digit code protects you against a casual reader, such as someone who sees the link by accident. It won’t stop a determined attacker who has the link, because a million possible codes can all be tried with enough time and computing power. Treat the link as private and give the code separately, preferably by voice.

The comparison also has limits by design. Your partner’s screen shows only what you have in common, but someone who answers yes to everything will see every line you marked yes or maybe. And since the link holds all your answers, a partner who has the code and knows how to dig through a browser could read your full list, noes included.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits. It runs when you load a page, and there’s no consent banner. It uses cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to recognize a returning browser.

It receives the pages you view, your browser and device type, your approximate location, and how you arrived, plus automatic signals such as time on the page, and three generic events of ours: test_start, test_complete, and outbound_click. It never receives a role, an answer, a practice, or the address an outbound link goes to. We strip the part after the # from the address we report.

Here’s the part to be clear-eyed about: Google can see which pages you open. If you read the page on rope after finishing the test, Google knows that a visitor finished a test and read about rope. It doesn’t get your score, but a page view is a page view. Google also necessarily sees your IP address when your browser connects to it. A browser setting or a blocker that stops Google Analytics won’t affect anything else on the site.

Live cams on the result page

Once you’ve confirmed you’re 18 or over, the result page can show previews of performers who are live. To do that, your browser asks our server for lists of performers in the categories tied to your top roles. We’ve turned off server logging for those requests, so they aren’t recorded on our side, though Cloudflare passes them along. The preview images load directly from the cam platform’s image servers, so those servers see your IP address and which images were requested, as with any image on the web. They don’t receive your answers or your scores.

Links marked as affiliate links go through our redirector at /go/. For each click it records the date and time, the page you were on, the placement of the link, its category, whether it pointed to a specific performer, your country (provided by Cloudflare), your device type (mobile or desktop), and a campaign label made of placement and category. It doesn’t record your IP address, a cookie, or any test answer, and we’ve turned off the ordinary server log for these requests too.

The partner you land on receives the campaign label, for example result-mistresses, and can see your IP address like any site you visit. Its own privacy policy applies from that point. If you use a link on your result page, its category says something about what you clicked, so skip those links if that bothers you.

Server logs and hosting

For other pages, our web server keeps standard access logs for security and troubleshooting: the address requested, the time, your browser type, and the connecting IP address. Traffic reaches us through Cloudflare, which handles every request and sees your IP address. The site is hosted by OVH in France. The site itself sets no cookies apart from those from Google Analytics.

Your rights

If you’re in the European Union or a place with similar rules, you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and you can complain to your data protection authority. We hold almost nothing: we can’t connect an access log line or a click to a test result, because we never had the result. Write to contact@kinkoscope.com and we’ll answer. Anything you email us stays in our mailbox until you ask us to delete it.

This site is for adults only, and we don’t knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. The legal notice lists the publisher and host.
